Situated in the heart of Castle Vale the stadium has been used by active football fans for over 25 years.

Home to several teams including Castle Vale Town FC, Romulus FC, Birmingham Primary Schools  and Castle Vale Concords; Bolton Wanderers have also used the grounds for training prior to matches in the championship division.

In 2014, the Stadium was under threat of closure until The Pioneer Group (local housing & support group) agreed to take over the management. Since then the local community, football teams, County FA and Football Foundation have worked together to build the site up to its best potential.

A major part of this development evolved further was when Castle Vale Stadium was awarded funding to install a 3G pitch in 2017 to replace the outdated grass pitch. While the Premier league and FA Facilities Fund facilitated the majority of the grant, the local Endowment Trust Fund and The Pioneer Group also agreed to part fund the project as they understood the importance of the site for Birmingham.

The new FIFA accredited 3G pitch gave the whole site a new lease of life with further updates such as brand new floodlights, goals and resurfaced car park with allocated disabled parking bays following shortly after.
